In 2008, building work at the village church of St Cadoc’s in Llancarfan revealed traces of medieval wall painting. A determined local campaign has raised funds for exploration and conservation. They now have a massive painting of St George and the Dragon, a terrifying Death figure and a complete set of the Seven Deadly Sins. And there is more to discover. I’ve been working with the Llancarfan Society and their heritage interpreter, Ian Fell, to tease out the significance of these paintings and set them in the context of the history of the village. Here we are on the BBC web site talking about them – http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25214557
